Complementary type output
It is made up of PNP transistors, which are the same as push-pull outputs.
It is also a complementary output type. When one transistor is turned on, the other should be turned off. It has high input impedance, so it can provide a wide range of power supplies even at low impedance.
Application: Elevator, etc.

Open collector output
By using the NPN transistor outlet side of the encoder, the emitter terminal of the transistor is connected to O [V], the collector and the terminal of +Vcc are turned on and used as an output terminal. It is recommended when the voltages of the encoder and collector are inconsistent.
Application:
general purpose factory automation (FA), textile machinery, lubrication machinery, automatic machinery, injection molding machines, cutting machines, printing machines and packaging machines.

Voltage output
Passing the NPN transistor outlet side of the encoder, connecting the emitter terminal of the transistor to the O[V] collector terminal and connecting it to +Vcc and the load resistor. As the output, when the voltage of the application device and the encoder are the same, it is recommended when no load is applied to the input of the machine used.

Line drive output
A line driver dedicated IC (26LS31) is used for the encoder output circuit. Due to its high speed response and good noise immunity, the line driver dedicated Ic can be used for long distance transmission. The controller needs to receive the line drive signal circuit, and should use the IC (26LS32) chip corresponding to RS-422A.
